Traveling is awesome don’t you think? It has so many advantages. Though one of the things why I love it most is because you get to taste so many different flavors, meals and things in general. With this series of “The Taste of Traveling” I want to take you on a journey of tastes around the world. And today I am going to take you on vacation to Australia. Are you excited?

Okay, let’s get started.

Do you like Ice Cream?Wait. Forget that I’ve asked.

I have something even better and you wil love it. It is way more delicious than Ice cream and super healthy too. I have to admit, I am addicted!

I first got to know it in Australia. I had my very first frozen Acai Bowl in Byron Bay and I felt in love with that kind of fruit sorbet.

In could have a frozen Fruit Bowl everyday for breakfast. And if I am totally honest with you, I at least have it once a week.

Besides the obvious things like the natural sweetness and fruity flavors and of course the coolness there is one main reason I really love this stuff. It is because you have so many options. It’ll never get boring believe me.

In the past year or so, I’ve literally tried about 50 different combinations. Including everything from coconut over chocolate to crazy fruit combos. And there wasn’t a single one I didn’t like.

However there were a few I liked better than the rest of it. 4 of those delicious

 1. Mangodream Bowl

What you need

½ a frozen mango

¼ of a frozen pineapple

4 Tbs. coconut milk

1 scoop coconut whey (optional)

5 drops coconut flavor (optional)

50 ml coconut water

For toppings: coconut flakes, chia seeds, goji berries, raspberries

2. Bananachocolate Bowl

What you need

2 frozen bananas

50 ml milk (any kind, I chose almond milk)

1 scoop chocolate whey (optional)

1 Tsp. cocoa powder

For toppings: chia seeds, cocoa nibs, goji berries and cashew nuts

3. Berrybliss Bowl

What you need

Handful of frozen raspberries

Handful of frozen blueberries

Handful of frozen strawberries

Handful of frozen blackberries

Handful of frozen plums

50 ml milk (any kind)

1 scoop strawberry whey (optional)

For toppings: nuts, amaranth, chia seeds, goji berries

4. Machabowl

What you need

Handful of frozen spinach

½ a frozen mango

½ a frozen banana

¼ frozen pineapple

1 scoop natural-flavoured whey (optional)

50 ml apple juice

1 Tsp. macha powder

For toppings: blueberries, goji berries, chia seeds


Similar for all.

Blend frozen fruits and liquids until smooth like ice cream and then top with the other goodies.

Eat immediately because it’s going to melt fast. Enjoy!
